About 'The Woodworks'

The Woodworks is located in the small North Georgia town of Dawsonville. We are approx. 45 minutes North of Atlanta, just off GA 400 and only 4 miles from the North Georgia Premium Outlet Mall. The Woodworks has called Dawsonville home since 1994 and has been proud to serve the North Georgia area since our "humble" beginnings in Roswell, GA in 1990.

The Woodworks is owned and operated by the Louden Family and all work is preformed by Master Craftsman David L. Louden. The fact that all of our work is done by only one person can at times create a bit of a "back log" but most of our customers understand and appreciate the fact that the work will be done right  by a proven professional and don't seem to mind a short wait.

Here at The Woodworks we specialize in two similar yet very different areas of expertise - Furniture Restoration and building Early American Reproduction Furniture.  This unique combination of services is the "beauty" of being the lone craftsman and owner - you can tailor your services to what truly enjoy doing. Typical we will we do more restoration then furniture making but often that will change to the other way around without notice. We try to stager the work weeks so that we don't have a shop full of restoration when we're trying to build furniture ( it's a saw dust thing) and vice versa.
